Your own experience, combined with soil testing is the first step to achieving a high yielding, high quality crop. Fruits & Vegetables
As a fruit and vegetable grower, you know quality is just as important as weight when your produce hits the grocer’s shelves. Outside of weather, nothing influences quality and yields more than your fertilizer program. Fruits and vegetables need a proper balance of nutrients to grow, and have the quality for eye appeal to the buyer. Basic NPK is not enough. A fruit or vegetable plant needs 14 different plant nutrients to grow to the right size and quality. Practically all soils in the coastal plain are in a secondary and micronutrient deficient area, so unless a good available secondary & micronutrient source is supplied in your fertilizer, your crop may suffer. A Balanced Diet:
All vegetable crops are different, but especially in the early stages, high-yielding vegetables require large amounts of potassium to stimulate root growth. Too much of this nutrient, however, can restrict plant absorption of magnesium, which is essential for chlorophyll production. That’s why every granule of Rainbow supplies the perfect balance of potassium and magnesium.
